Chabaud La France Dianthus
Description: This blush colored heirloom has the strongest fragrance of all the carnations. Great for borders, beds, and cut flower arrangements. The fragrance is sweet and spicy similar to clove. Although technically a tender perennial, it is mostly grown as an annual for cut arrangements. Flowers are edible. You’ll want to remove the petals from the base as the base is very bitter.
