Description: An excellent juicing carrot that stores well, the Red Cored Chantenay will produce 5-7” roots that are 2” in diameter.  It is known for being able to tolerate heavier soils and still give a good harvest.  It was introduced in 1929 and is one of the sweetest varieties of carrots.
