History: Introduced in 1965 by horticulturist Dr. Hoffman of the U.S. Vegetable Laboratory in South Carolina.

Don't forget the inoculant! Peas and Beans are among the crops that add nitrogen to your soil through an association with nitrogen-fixing bacteria. Inoculate the roots to make sure they are present in your soil! While peas and beans will still give you a crop without it, it has been shown that plants yield heavier and perform better when inoculated.
