Monstrueux de Viroflay Spinach
Description: Another variety cultivated in the famous Parisian market gardens of the 17th century. This variety is a larger leaf with an earlier maturity than many others. Despite the large size, leaves stay tender and have lower levels of oxalic acid. Semi-Savoyed, also known as “Monster Spinach” and Monster of Viroflay, which is a community in the south-western suburbs of Paris.
