Texas 1015 Super Sweet Onion

Description: An absolutely iconic onion! This short day variety sets the standard in the south!  These beauties average 4” to 5” in diameter ad weigh in around 1 pound! Yellow skin covers sweet, white flesh that is low in the stuff that makes you cry. Though it is a short day onion, it is also grown as an intermediate onion and has been grown as far north as Ohio. Developed by Dr. Leonard Pike at Texas A&M University and named for the ideal planting date in Texas, October 15^th. Stores for 2 – 3 months.
