Blue Hopi Corn
Description: A unique combination of flavor, nutrition, and cultural significance. This traditional heirloom variety boasts striking blue kernels that can be enjoyed as a sweet corn when young, or dried for use in flour, tortillas, and other dishes. Growing up to 8-10 feet tall and maturing in just 100-110 days, this robust and drought-tolerant corn is a valuable addition to both gardens and kitchens. Believed to have been cultivated for 800 years by the Hopi Native Americans, this strain is also used to make ceremonial piki bread and makes for great autumn decorations.
